Tanzania promotes Dodoma’s development opportunities at global forum

Seoul, South Korea. Tanzania has promoted Dodoma’s development prospects at the International Infrastructure Development Conference in Seoul, spotlighting investment potential in the new capital city.

Dr Jim Yonazi, Secretary-General of the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament and Coordination), led the Tanzanian delegation in the conference where he delivered a presentation detailing the achievements in relocating Tanzania’s national headquarters to Dodoma and outlining avenues for further urban development.

The session held on September 16, 2025, offered a platform to engage international partners, demonstrating the country’s commitment to modern infrastructure and sustainable urban growth.

During his presence in Korea Dr Yonazi held discussions with the Chairman of KFINCO and officials from the National Agency for Administrative City Construction of Korea (NAACC).

The talks focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the execution of development projects and operationalising existing collaboration agreements between the Prime Minister’s Office and NAACC.

In the Korea visit Dr Yonazi was accompanied by Mr Paul Sangawe, Director of Policy and Coordination of Government Affairs, alongside other Tanzanian delegates.

The engagements are expected to strengthen technical cooperation and attract investment, creating new opportunities for the continued growth of Dodoma’s Government City.
