Dodoma. The government, through the Tanzania Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), has called on both local and foreign investors to capitalise on investment opportunities in Nala, Dodoma, earmarked for the establishment of various industrial facilities.

TISEZA’s Communications and Public Relations Manager, Pendo Gondwe, made the remarks on September 23, 2025 during a visit to the designated investment area by journalists.

“The government has created an investor-friendly environment, including the provision of free plots to those who meet the criteria and commence construction within one year of allocation,” Ms Gondwe said.

She further noted that the government has removed taxes on key areas, such as the importation of industrial machinery and raw materials, to facilitate the growth of the manufacturing sector.

Ms Gondwe emphasised that the authority’s vision is for Nala to become a hub of industrial activity by 2030, adding that the investment promotion campaign is ongoing.

Meanwhile, TISEZA’s Central Zone Manager, Venance Mashiba, stated that the government has already invested in essential infrastructure, including water supply, electricity, and road networks.

He said that local investors are required to have a minimum capital of Sh5 billion, while foreign investors must bring at least $10 million, with each investor expected to create no fewer than 100 jobs.

Since the launch of this strategic plan on August 12, four local investors have already met the set criteria.
